interesting eh.

Ah!
Today I went off to fix my dearest lappie at Funan.
What happened you say??

Well, first my Z key was off bcoz I pressed it too much (or maybe I'm just being tough on it) =P~
Then my dad's camera's memory stick was stuck inside my card reader. It wasn't the right size, but I forced it anyway ... so that's what happened if you don't follow ... ahem ... instructions.

So now it's fixed. I can happily enjoy my lappie again. DUR!
Anyhooooo...
Here's something cool that I found out from Melvine's friend in friendster. Hehe.
Enjoy!

the tagline.

"If you're brave enough to kill, why aren't you brave enough to change?"

It's one of those powerful lines taken from a Hong Kong movie Invisible Target.
Although at first I did not plan to watch it but since my sister, my brother, my uncle, and I had nothing to do in Vivocity, we decided to kill time by watching this Chinese movie. It turns out to be an amazing masterpiece! Not only was the storyline catchy, the effects and stunts were also incredible. The actors include Shawn Yue and Nicholas Tse -- oh yeah, they're sizzlin' HOT -- and one more guy (whom I shall call Mr.X, for now, coz I don't know the name!) who looked like Jacie Chan (Jackie Chan's son) ... except that this guy has a better nose than Mr.Chan. Ahem..

That tagline was actually addressed to one of the gangsters that these policemen tried to arrest. (Take note that the actors that I've mentioned were the "good guys"). It was Mr.X's line when he questioned the villain (I shall call him Mr.O, for blogging purpose). Mr.X asked that question because he knew that there was still some good and working conscience in Mr.O.
On the other hand, Mr.O replied him coldly, "I was born to be bad." and so on and so forth ... and in the end, Mr.O died. How? WATCH IT YOURSELF, you spoiler-reader! I spend SEVEN bucks just to watch the movie and you wanna know the whole story for free? ISH! So inhumane ar!

The powerful message about the tagline is this ...
Change that "kill" into something we are sinful most. It may be watching TV, or smoking, or indulging massive chocolates. If we can do that, why can't we change? And of course, this "change" is to a better cause.
As I ponder on this question, I came into a conclusion, which may not be applicable to ALL, but it is universal (especially to me).
"Phenomenal miracles happen because of desperate people asking for it."
I derived this quote from a sermon by Ps.Franco G. when he came to ENCS on July 15, 2007.
In other words, things do happen according to what we are desperate for. If I take a look at my life, for instance, I would see that 95% of my desperateness leads to success. But of course, the 5% is either I wasn't allowed or not yet. An example would be my wanting to get the glasses that I wanted. If you all know the blue specs that I wore for the last two years, that's the product of Angelene being desperate! My grandma told me that it wasn't suitable for me. My mom told me that it looked horendous. Nevertheless, I kept on persisting. I ensure them that it's something out of the ordinary and it'll survive with me for a couple of years (uhm..it's coz I always change specs when I'm given the chance to shop for one =P). And true enough, they're probably "annoyed" by my determination to own the blue plastic spectacles. The end of the story ... they bought my desperateness.
See what I mean?
Hope ya'll catch the movie as soon as possible. And do LEARN from media. It sure feeds you with lotsa moral principles and values.

Young and MacMac

We bid farewells to two of our dearest friends in a month? That's too much already.
First we had Young. She left Korea already. 'Twas a great joy to have her around. We met earlier this year, the start of the new semester. She came as an exchange student in NUS. We met in ENCS Lifegroup and we became close after being acquainted for a month or two.

I remember the time during our exam period, we went for dinner in Food Republic, Vivocity, after Lifegroup. She was suppose to go home to study but then I pursuaded her to go Max Brenner and eat chocolates with me. I was quite a devil. Ahem. But ... she refused to go with me. So I gave up. But minutes later, just before we left the table, she came up to me and decided to study the next day rather than that night. I was so excited! So in the end, we went to Max Brenner and enjoyed our evening 'til midnight ** Hendry brought me home, we shared a cabbie. DUR!!

called Hendry up to Max Brenner. Those who were present: Ash, Young, me, Hendry, and Wayne on the cam.

Special moments with Young also includes the pre-Saturday Night Fever day. She and I finished our exams a day or two before the event. A day before the party, both of us went shopping for her costume. She was completely blank about what to wear for the party. I helped her picked out several items from the shops in Far East Plaza. We had such a great night shopping, trying out dresses, and chatting together. The great thing was that she bought everything below her budget. It was surprising, indeed. =) I also suggested her to use contact lenses for the party. It's to blend and match the colors of her outfit, since her glasses was red.

At the party itself, Young won the best outfit! I added my blue necklace so the top won't look too plain. This was how she looked like:

Party Queen!

Then there was the Bali trip. She came to Jakarta and Bali to spend time with us. She even watched the West-Side Story by Morning Star Academy's Performing Arts. At first, I was supposedly accompany her for the whole show. But then I became one of the supporting players for the show, to replace a student. In the end, I asked my aunt and her friends to accompany Young as she sat for the the night show. She had a great time too and of course, a great evening wouldn't be as great if there aren't pictures.

Aromatherapy for 2 hours for only Rp.125thou (SGD$20)? What more can you ask!

Second we have Michael Ostique, affectionately known as MacMac. He left for the States today.

Although it was only a month since the first time I met him, but the moments of hangouts were unforgettable. He is such a blessing in my life personally. He's always cheerful and very lovable. The first time we took a picture together, no other words can describe him except ... Mr.Bean. The fact that he looks like one, when he did his "MacMac smile". Proof?

The "MacMac smile" -- I wasn't ready yar!

We always spend hours during hangouts. UNO is our favorite game. So far, our favorite place to sit and play UNO is Far East Plaza. It varies though, depending on our mood. MacMac was known for being our "Shuffleur" (or in English term: one who shuffles). But! I mildly disliked his shuffling because of the constant persistent colors that I've collected when I took the cards from the deck. Grrr...

Nevertheless, UNO without MacMac will never be the same again.

Snow Patrol - "Signal Fire"

This song really stirs my heart! The melody and Gary Lightbody's voice is EXCELLENT! I've been a fan of Snow Patrol since "Eyes Open" was released. Ya. I know that's like ... last year. =P~
I wish I can compose songs that can stir hearts like Snow Patrol's songs. And then becomes OSTs for movies. Hehe.
Spiderman 3 OST presents Snow Patrol's "Signal Fire", everyone ...
