the good ol' days

I'm back!
It's been two days in Jakarta and I really feel like I'm here for good! Woot! Yet, I still have 3 more years to go. In an island. . ... near Sentosa. Haiz...
So what have I been doing but to teach and meet people. First day, I taught Grade 4 Reading.

Then, today I played the keys for devotion and administered Humanities exam for the 12th graders. It's nice to be home.

I met my lil tykes, Janice and Arlene S. They're really adorable. I can see Janice's eyes sparkled when she saw me on stage today. She smiled widely too. Everytime I caught her in the eyes, she would smile and wave at me. Isn't that adorable?

There's also Tante Titia. Still as petite as always and of course, cartoony-type of voice. She's also one heck of a cutie. I feel like pinching and hugging and keeping them all!! They're the ones who can make me smile and destress myself from school work. Grr..

Overall, my days here are supercalifragilistically FANTASTIC! It'll be even better in the days ahead. Rebirth will be singing with Hillsong this Saturday in our church building. That ... we expected a LOT of people to come. Might be full-packed. (2000++ ??) Yep.
Anyways. Enjoy the pictures that I took with my tykes. (=

a revolution with a solution.

The world's changing.
Women tend to be iconoclastic towards men. See those Asian male singers? Or even Western boybands? The image of a macho man is fading away. Here comes the lengthy-haired, cute-faced, and "omigosh-look-at-me-i'm-an-idol" chaps and that's right..they're invading pure maidens' dreams and visions.

"There's no need to be macho to get girls."
Rigghtt.. To a certain extent this builds more charisma in guys, and no offense, it should! Then again, it's quite confusing when they become similar to celebrity images that I've pointed out earlier on. With much respect, guys don't need pretty faces to become charming. I bet if we trace back twenty years from now the meaning of charming is not being pretty-lanky at all.

Girls must be blown away by the gorgeous smile of Jay Chou. Or even, the sweet "hey" from Nick Carter. Must it be them? Just because they combed their extremely silky hair, is there going to be a revolution of women's dream of a Mr.Right?

Take George Clooney, for example. He's the MAN! Too masculine, you say? Well, at least he's not a "go-with-the-crowd" type of being.

So what's this about "charming"? It's not about the looks, boyfriend! It's about being a gentleman.

All these while I've been blabbering and insulting on "feminity". I'll just stay neutral. So to neutralize it ... Even if a macho man has no sense of gentlemanism, oh puhleeze, we girls rather stick with ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... books!

So, to top it all off, this world need no boys nor men. We need gentlemen!
