destressing period?
Yep. One paper down and one more to go. And I have to wait 10 days before my next paper. Haiz.. But nvm! I have time to slack and enjoy my aftermath of Singapore history. HAHA!
After the paper, 3.30pm, Tera, Kain, Jeanette, and I went back together. In Boon Lay station, I met up with Wulan. We already planned that day that we're going to watch a movie after my paper. We went to Orchard. Lido, specifically. We bought the tickets for The Last Mimzy. It's her birthday treat from me! (=
Our movie was supposedly at 7.20PM, but we came very early. So after we bought the tickets we went to eat in Sakae Sushi, Wheelock Place. First time I ordered ramen. Ahem. Yes, usually I ordered Udon. Difference? Of course! One's smaller, one's bigger. I think the ramen tasted like yu mian. Err.. yes. Obviously, I ate too many yu mian, especially in Amara Hotel. My all-time favorite: Sliced Fish Yu Mian, Aunty! d;
After dinner, we walked back to Lido and we were the first people to enter the studio. It's Studio 5. It's really really ugly! And very very old! The ceilings were peeling. And there were water-marks. Eeeew! Anyway, the fun part was we got the chance to take pictures first. SO we did. Not only on our seats, but we also went infront, under the screen. There were 2 "No Smoking" signs on both wings. We went to the right sign and we took pictures there. It's really funny coz we didn't realize that there was actually someone up at the projector room. I don't think he bother anyway.
A few minutes after that, people started to come in. Which was quite GOOD! Coz you don't wanna watch it alone in a big spacy, old, rectanglish room. Eeek! Freaky!
The movie itself was not as "good" as what I've expected. Although it has a bit of thriller, and quite freaky coz it's like Mimzy, the rabbit, can communicate with Emma, the lil girl. It's just ALRIGHT.
That's how I spent my de-stressing period yesterday. I'm still not in the mood to study. I guess I'd better start tomorrow. Or else... [choke]

life and love and why?
That was the line that my friend told me a few days ago. I was feeling really down these past few days. I missed home, I was stressed out because of exams, I was lonely, I was broken until I lost my self-image. The depressing thoughts always attacked me until I cannot take it anymore that I even thought of ending my life. Stupid isn't it?
Just yesterday I talked to my friend online and he knew I wasn't okay. But he just said, "Appreciate now!" At first, I told him I can't! How am I suppose to appreciate life when it's all depressing?! He then told me what happened to him. I was shocked. I thought he was okay. But upon hearing the news that he was diagnosed with some type of disorder made me think deeply. He encouraged me in someway. When I asked him if he's alright, he told me that he's fine. I told him to get a treatment or just do a check-up or something. He said he will but he exclaimed that he will be enjoying every single day without thinking there's something wrong with him. I was touched.
I reflected on his words. He has faith. He was struck by a disease and yet he rejoiced; but I, on the other hand, only encountered stress and I thought that's the end of the world already. Depressed people didn't think ahead. They only think of themselves. They thought that problems only struck them and because it's painful for them, they thought that it's better to end it. But what about others? They didn't think that it'll affect people around them, such as family members, loved ones, and friends. They didn't believe that God created them to bless others. Here I am, talking like a "holy" person, and yet I can't believe that I had thoughts of ending my life. But hey..don't worry..I realized that I still have a purposeful life to live. God reminded me of so many things before I make that "foolish" decision.
He said:
I was dumbfounded. I nodded and told God, "Hey, God! You're right. It's not the time yet to die." I had so many things that I haven't accomplished yet and the prophecies have not been fulfilled yet. The thought of it strengthened me. It actually cleared my mind of dying early.
Sometimes, I would also think that I'll die early, like in a car-crash, or plane-crash, or something. But, with this as a "pegangan hidup", I am so sure that God still wants me to live. He has a great destiny for me, and I don't have to worry a single thing.
Wow. It actually applies to my second exam paper. Why do people have religions? That question kept on bothering me for the whole month. I don't have a perfect answer and I really want to hear your answer. And what is religion to you? If you say that it's a belief, then what's it meant by free-thinker? Don't you know that free-thinkers also have a belief?
Hope this post blesses ya'll and motivate ya'll to live a purposeful life. We're not called to just populate the Earth. We have a purpose.
Be blessed.
______and happy studying! d;

He knows my name.
I'm a proud daughter of my Creator. I inherit a big bigg bigggg kingdom.
discussions.
Oh well, I promise to study tomorrow. Actually, I've been studying since 3 days ago. My studying would mean, talking to people and asking them about Singapore history (haha! cheating right? =P)
I got a question for you all who read this post. If you guys can provide me a good answer for my argument (this is also helping me in my exam), it'll be SOOOOOO great! And I must say I can't thank you enough for helping me out. Coz you see, I never took Singapore history before. So believe it or not, I had a Singapore history module this semester. Better yet, it's a tertiary level module! Aaaaaaaaaaa..... I'm bombarded by this Raffles and Goh Keng Swee. Wooooooo!!
But it's quite an experience to learn other people's culture. And hey! Singapore history did not go as far as Indonesian history, so it's not as difficult as other country's history. =)
So here are my questions:
1. What is a global-city?
2. Can Singapore become a global-city before the 1980s?
3. How do you separate facts from myth for Singapore's pre-1819 history?
4. What is the role of Goh Keng Swee? What is so important about him? Does he play a major role in the making of a global-city?
Do post your answers on the tagboard. If it's not enough ... chat with me or post it on friendster. Cheers and muchos gracias! =D

saturday night.
This is like quite sucky. I had to study on weekends. I've been chionging my AAH 104 essay about Indian cultural influence in South-East Asia. Seriously, it's not much to talk about. I thought we're supposed to argue on essays (like what our ALS module taught us) but it doesn't apply in my history course! Especially with Dr.Fernando! He wants archaeological evidences. AAaaaaaarghh!! And you know what ... okay! He's an Indian. He expects all of us to pronounce his Indian words correctly with the exact pronunciation as he does it. EH! Helloo!! I'm very oriental and most of us are! Only Kahbini is the only Indian in our history class. Chih! I hope I don't get deducted on those minor things. ... ... ...
But interesting facts are:
1. Garuda is a mythical bird! -- Phoaaa! When I first read this in one of D.G.E Hall's chapter, I was quite shocked. Indonesian national icon was based on a mythical bird. It was influenced by Hinduism coz that bird was supposedly a warrior bird, ridden by a Hindu god called Vishnu.
2. Sanskrit language was originated from India. -- This, I think most of us know that. But must take note that in Indonesia, Sanskrit wasn't really adopted fully. They did mixed some Sanskrit into Javanese. Examples: "Mandala", "Chandi", "Dharma".
3. Srivijaya kingdom existed in Sumatra. -- The major city that played a major role in commerce was what we call now, Palembang.
So many things to talk about, yet so lazy...coz I've been doing this since last week. Chionging and chionging... ><" ...Haha! Anyway! That's all for today. It's already 11.26 PM. *waiting*. IC if you're reading this, you know what I'll say right? Hehe.. Yep! Tqm. Nite people! =) p.s. This was what I did during lunchtime...Got nothing better to do...

this is it. this is a forgiving letter.
Last week of lectures people! Actually, I'm already on my long weekend now. Hehe.. Today's Thursday and I'll be having it til Sunday. Then guess what's coming next ... *drumrolls and Beethoven's Symphony* ... ALS REFLECTION on MONDAY!!! Seriously, I have no idea why they make us do reflections. It's like...as if there's right or wrong in our opinions! No right? =(
Anyway.. I've forgiven the witch and let her live for good. I'm a very compassionate person, okay! That's why Tenku Bernard made an alliance with my country. He even asked for merger, but I told him that it can't be done due to a logical reason -- geographical location! Unless, Singapore, PM Terence, donate us some $ to build an underground city connecting Malaysia and Indonesia. Oh well, PM is probably busy building his casino. Haiz..
Anyway.. Back to my point. The witch. Mr.Faaez informed me that the witch mentioned something about me. Whoaaaa!!! Vain Vain Vain!!! No laa! Listen first! ... So in Faeez's class, which was on Friday (btw, mine's on Mondays) ...

BLOODY IRRITATING! **WARNING!**it may raise sensitive feelings!**don't read if you're not MATURE!**
A line from Monty Python's The Quest for the Holy Grail that served as a ridiculous comment from the villagers. It happen to be ME who's now saying that to my ALS tutor. Yeaah! It's the first time I hate a teacher. And call yourself in NIE and this is what you get.. a very bad role model.
WHY do I hate her badly?
Few reasons. Don't think just because my friends hate her, I also hate her, NO WAY.. I'm not the "up-to-the-trend" kinda person eh.
1. First lesson is alright. You gotta know her more and see her style. "Oh, okay! She's a sporty cool type of tutor" I thought. She's single and wore Adidas brand most of the time.
2. Second and third lesson, I felt sorry for my friends who were scolded "indirectly" by her because they didn't do their work. I mean, HELLO! who on earth check individual readings in university level?!? She checked and commented, "Hey! How come there's no highlights here." or "Why don't you criticize this?" or "Why aren't there any comments next to the paragraphs?" SLAP HER ON THE FACE
3. She gets really irritating before the recess week. She told us that there was a make up class on Saturday, coz on Monday, she had to go for conference, etc. So here I was, in NIE (Boon Lay) early in the morning, travelled all the way from Hougang, 9AM, nobody's there. 9.02AM, Elizabeth came. 9.05AM, Yee Yan came. Waited.. Waited.. Waited.. 9.15AM, I was jokingly commenting to those two, "Don't tell me she cancelled the class." We were laughing, while Elizabeth was getting ready for her presentation (she uploaded it to her email, so she checked her mail). 9.20AM, it's only the three of us still, when the class supposed to start at 9AM. Yee Yan suggested that we should probably call the others and ask. However, nobody had the others' contact numbers. I told them that I had the tutor's. I smsed her and guess what ... she called. Yes! The witch called. (so much for the medieval times!)

A Beautiful Dream
Beautiful day isn't it?
I feel like writing after I had this beautiful dream. Wanna guess what's it about?
WRONG!
Hunks don't cross my mind, neither will they! Any other guess?
WRONG!
Exams are coming up, so I know I won't be going back til' May 6th. Another try?
Err.. WRONG!
I just ate McDonald's yesterday! Soo, I haven't craved for it yet.
I think your psychic skills are quite pathetic. You should go home and practice more before you enter this blog site. =)
So here's the right answer. And I shall elaborate.
Beautiful it is. We're having a party in a nice 2nd floor room. I remembered there are my siblings, the Wowors, and Matthew L. (he's my fan back when I was teaching him. how did he get here into my dream? =P) The night was really amazing. We chatted and laughed until ... I saw a blinking star outside the window. --Btw, the setting of this room is special. There are big windows on one side of the room.-- So I went to tell everyone to come and watch that blinking star. Amazingly, this star can be seen on an eye-level sight. It is not something that everyone had to turn their heads up to see. Right where you're standing, straightly, you can see the star. We were all amazed by that star. You know, when people get excited, they tend to chatter here and there, giggle, gasp, and TAKE PICTURES! =) And so we did! But by the 2nd round of the picture taking, Matthew noticed something. He cried, "Look! It's a moon!". We all turned and our eyes widened. Sure enough! It's that moon we always see every month, but this time ... it's on the eye-level! It's really close that when you see it, it's so impossible that it can land on Earth! Another effect that made it look beautiful was the sea in front of our room. GOSH! It's really indescribable. I think I should draw you so you can have a clearer vision on what my beautiful dream is.
There was another dream last night, but that one, was not as nice as this moon experience thing. =)
Gosh.. sometimes I feel like going somewhere where I can enjoy the universe! These things made me wonder, how on earth can God make all these. He is sooooo creative! (no wonder I inherit some of His genes! =D) Imagine, the universe is so vast. Planets, stars, comets, meteors ... aaaaaaaargh! I just wish to explore the universe! I wanna see those wonders that my Creator had done! If that's the case, I shall put this as my dream. TO go explore the universe someday. It's gonna be beautiful. I think I would cry once I pop out of the Earth. I'll be having goosebumps by the time I reach the stratosphere. I'll be muttering OMG to myself when I see the black vast area. AAAArgh! it's sooo cooooollll!! Okay. I shall pray hard to be filthy rich so I can afford the rocket and my astronauts. =D
If you wanna tag along. Tell me yeah? So we can go together! Hehe..
Let's all see the wonders that our Creator made. He's sooooo cool! ^^

hypocritical studies and stuff.
I've been up for almost 15 hours now. It was a hectic day today, although my class started at 2.30 PM. I went early to school coz SJ decided to give me a cheese brownie, and she said it's better to eat that brownie right after it was cooled in the fridge. But hellooo! She came out of the house early in the morning and in the end, it's still soggy. ><" Yet, it's deliciously indescribable! Thanks beib!
What else.
After class, I went to Vivo for Life Group. Today's sharing was great. Tony talked about "integrity". He touched on how our lives shouldn't be hypocritical. And what you viewed yourself may not be the same like what others viewed you. It was quite interesting coz we did some activities like naming 3 things that describe yourself. I said I'm "blur, smiley, friendly", then the person to the right will have to describe me in 3 words also. It was Wayne Dell! He described me as "domineering, sweet, ..." and I forgot one more! haha! Domineering?? Dick described it as "bossy". WOW! I never knew I was bossy. It's just some things that I can't see it but others do. Which concludes that when friends see something's not right in me, or they critique on my behavior, I would check again coz again ... it's not about how I feel, it's about how others feel when I behave that way.
Same thing like make-ups. I'm not saying that ALL girls use make-ups to cover up their ugliness. Heck no! But for me, make-ups represent "neatness", especially if we meet a lot of people. Imagine talking to someone but that person can't help staring at your almost-bursting-red pimple. Eeww! Experienced that before? Or, that person has a really puffy dark circles below their eyes. Hey c'mon! You don't wanna be seen like that right, girls? And guess what, those things become a distraction to people whom you're talking with. I can go on and on about beauty make-overs, but one thing for sure ... our security is not dependent upon make-ups. Someday Body Shop will close down. Sometime later, your skin can't handle make-ups anymore. If our identity is upon make-ups, we're slaves to make-ups! It's as if make-ups SAVE the day and nothing else can replace make-ups in our lives. DUH! Get a life. You're placing your identity in an object, girlfriend! Can make-ups solve your problems? Ask yourself where are you placing your identity now. What is the thing that you prioritize more. Things that you prioritize first becomes your identity. You'll do things based on what you prioritize.
I thank God that He has called me to do great things. I know that my identity in Him will always be secure coz He's the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. Fashion changes. Techonology changes. Boyfriends may break our hearts. Husbands may be unfaithful. There's no WAY this corrupted world offer true love and identity. Let's just be realistic. Just look around you and what do you find but divorces, anger, rebellion, lusts, etc. For me, I don't believe the world anymore. What good are they offering? Even if I have a higher degree or high pay or high job position, I won't survive coz I'd probably have no LIFE! But by the grace of God ... He who gives me peace, love, and joy so that I can live my days grateful and enjoying every moments of it. And I'm glad that I don't have to please all my friends coz I'm secure in who I am in Christ. He accepts me whenever, however, and whatever I am, even since the day I was born. It's so good to be loved, especially when you're loved before you're even born. (Jer. 29:11)
Religious? =) Haha.. if it doesn't make sense, then it is religious. But I hope ya'll can relate to your current situation as I've related mine. This thing that I believe is a lifestyle that I follow, not some freakin' "another Christianity" type of thing. Haha! Seriously, I'm also sick of those on-the-air Christian teachings ya coz it just don't make SENSE! It's so unrealistic. Although we need to know those spiritual things also, but what's more important is the values and principles that the Bible wants us to learn. Then why do you think Jesus came to this Earth? Why do you think He is called the second Adam? And why was He always opposed by the Pharisees? Because He changed those traditional teachings into actions! What did the Pharisees do? They taught godly and spiritual stuff, but did they do anything about it? Nope. Did they do what they preach? Nope. Again ... hypocritical.
I really ponder a lot on these things. It's quite amazing. Btw, without Jesus coming to Earth, there wouldn't be any timeline. That's why they named it B.C. (Before Christ). Interesting eh? Hehe.. It's my Father's name! Soo proud of Him! =D
Anyways.. It's quite late already. I'm feeling the fatigue. I love you peoples who read this. Hope it blesses you all, coz that's what I'm living for. To serve and to influence people for GREATNESS.

events!
You ask where was I? I was definitely busy and lazy to write blogs. Haha! Sorry.
January 8: The start of 2nd semester
January 9-24: Routines! That I forgot what's going on. Haha! I think I met new people..like Sher, Nadiah, and Eric from TTC. Ah! And during this period, I made a decision to be rooted in EN. =)
January 25: Became one of the models for NTU openhouse posters or something. Anyway, it was a photoshoot in Block 7 "Classroom of the Future". I think that's what it's called. Haha. Not really expecting it to come out soon though. Pai seh! =P~ ... What else? The night before, I had a big fight with my sister about some "stuff". We didn't talk at all the next day. Went to talk with Danny about these things for almost two hours. From NIE to Vivocity. In Vivo, we passed by Candy Empire, so I decided to buy some chocolates for my sister (to tell her that I still love her and I don't hate her!). I bought a box of Belgian sea-shelled chocolates. It's not because of the bargain okay! Hehe.. It's like $10.80 for 2. Buy one get one free. Haha.. But then, the chocolates were FANTASTIC!!! =D
January 26-February 3: Routines again! Just that, every single day is always a brand new day. I was blessed!
February 4: Dad's birthday! Mom and Dad came to Singapore after their trip to China. For Dad's birthday, we all went to Jumbo seafood restaurant in East Coast with Grandpa, Grandma, Gong-gong, Suk Siung, and Alan. The food were against my DIET! Aaa! But I can bear with it. It's once in a while mar? =P
February 5: The start of E-Learning. And all those people who rejoice say ..... yaay... swt.
February 6: It's a Tuesday. Second day of E-Learning. But guess what, I was quite slack! Haha! In the morning I went to NIE for CS briefing for an hour (10.30 - 11.30 PM). I'll be taking lower primary because I LOVEEE kids! As in, smaller kids! Coz if not .. I'll get bullied. *sniffets*. The compulsory subjects for me are English and Math. For the third one, it's either Music, Arts, or Social Studies. I am quite confused in what I'm gonna take for the third one. It's either Music or Arts though. Can you give me suggestion before I turn in my paper this Monday, Feb. 12? After CS briefing, I went to Vivo to eat with Danny. We ate at Food Republic. Shared grilled fish, charkwe, and mushroom soup. While we're eating, my sister called asking us to watch a movie with her. It was funny. We were debating on what movie to watch on the phone. Imagine! The first option was "Happy Birthday" !!! A Chinese movie! Louis Koo! I was laughing so hard. In the end, we gotta picked The Last King of Scotland. Hey! Not bad! The ticket was only $5.80 coz Wayne got a discount from OCBC. After we window-shopped in Vivo, we went all the way down to Cineleisure, in Orchard. The movie was at 4.10 PM. What's great was ... my sister got us all couple seats! SHEEEEESH!! But nvm, it was a joke for her. Haha! The movie was ... alright, I guess. Gory and MATURE. I had to close my eyes most of the time when it happened. The movie ended around 6 PM. Danny wanted to separate from my sis, to give her some "quality time". Doesn't make sense coz they ended up at home half an hour later. As for us, we sat for an hour + on the stairs, in front of Ngee Ann City. From dusk til dark. We chatted about a whole bunch of things until I realized that I got a butt-cramp. Imagine sitting on a hard stuff for more than an hour. Ouch. I looked at my watch and found out that it was already 7.30 pm. Initially, the plan was after the movie, we all go for dinner, but then ... it didn't turn out that way. So that 7.30 growled me badly. I called my sister and found out that she was at home already. Jah! We were quite confused on what to eat, since there were so many stuff in Orchard. Danny called his friend, but no answer. Soooo.. we decided on Billy Bombers in HeRen. (is that how u spell it? swt.) Got a spaghetti bolognoise. Chatted and took a picture of our new doorstoppers! Then we're off from Dhoby Ghaut around 10 PM. Awesomeness.
February 7: Mr.Thomashto's birthday bash by US! His birthday was actually on the 6th, but he had a romantic dinner with his gf and some of his friends. Err.. You don't call it a romantic dinner in the end. =P. Anyway, SJ and him came to my house to do our presentation slides. We spent half a day doing our AAH 104 - Dawn of Asian Civilization. In between, we disturbed Danny online, played pranks on Thomas while he's taking his nap, and I cornered SJ's boyfriend online. =P. It was funny! An hour after Thomas's nap, his gf called and he complained to his gf that we were so bad. His gf laughed. SJ and I were making funny faces like .. "Oh, I love you!" and stuff while Thomas was talking to his gf in his kissy-kissy mode. Eeeew!!! ><" Around 6 PM, we went down to Kovan to grab Punggol Nasi Lemak, along with Amanda and Danny. It was the first time for most of them, it's my second. Btw, Danny paid for my meal. Then, we got off to Heartland Mall to buy Thomas an ice cream in replacement for his cake, or should I say...cupcakes! Too busy to buy laa! =P~ Another awesomeness.
THE END! Enjoy the picture! =D

christmas eve & christmas day
This is JB, reading the manual on how to use the mixer.
Around this time, Justin is the hungriest among all. He feels uncomfortable of everything. He sits, he stands, he walks, he plays the piano ("soooaring, flyiiiiiing"), he just can't stay still. He's devastated. So much for helping. ><"
Coming right up. Just one more meal to go, the omelettes. As for both of us, we waited patiently while lighting the candle in the middle. Until ...
A fly came in! Grrr.. Mom took 2 slappers from above the fridge and gave them to both of us. See that? Justin made a Beyonce dance while slapping the cunning fly. Btw, Mom is sticking her tongue out coz no more butter laaa!
It's 10++ already, and we're all starving!
Again, Justin couldn't resist his starvation so he left his job as a fly slapper and went to sit to get ready for his meal.
Finally! It is the omelette, baby! At first, it looks like crumbs from the wowors' cookies. It's actually a shiitake omelette. It's quite good too.
This is the table setting for each family member.
After eating and reflecting, we're full! And it's time to open the presents. The long-awaited moment.
This is Justin and his present from ME! Wanna know how he got that dinosaur bubble? Ask me! =D
Merry Christmas everyone!
Another year of Christmas, another year of celebration, another year of joy.

the schedule for today.
Today was another blasting fun-packed day! In summary ...
8.30 am: In MSA
8.45 - 10.00 am: Chilling at Setiabudi's new Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
10.00 - 11.45 am: Kindergarten Christmas banquet practice
11.45 - 12.15 pm: Eating at Imperial Cakery (had sandwich for lunch and didn't finish my food coz K'Fina called for practice, so I packed it for take away)
12.20 - 1.00 pm: Special song practice for Dec.24th's service ("Jingle Bells", Point of Grace's version - I tell you, it's madness! All the curls and twists on the notes! Aaaa!)
1.00 - 2.45 pm: Sunday service music practice
2.45 - 3.00 pm: Youth offering song practice ("O Come, O Come Emmanuel", Martha Munizzi)
3.00 - 4.00 pm: Youth drama practice
4.00 - 4.30 pm: Youth music practice
4.30 - 5.30 pm: Slacking! Chatting! Drinking!
5.30 - 8.30 pm: Youth Christmas service
It was great! The Youth on Fire today was awesome! We had the lightings and fog machines! Woohoo!! But it actually made us singers harder to breathe. We had to fan ourselves coz the fog was so friggin vanilla smelly! Yerrrrrrr.. But overall, the youth service was totally SOMETHING! We sang Not Forgotten, We Wish You a Timeless Christmas, and Here I Am to Worship. (all Israel Houghton's version). Then we had the drama. My brother was the main character (AGAIN!), and I was a prop person, holding the sign "Bus Stop". Muahahaha.. It was a 5-minute skit though.
Then we had this game where we have to form a 4-person group to sing "Jingle Bells" or "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" syllable-per-syllable. It was tough. I was dragged by Leah, so my team consists of me, her, Imma, and Arum. We made it to the finals. Muahaha! But we lost to the boys - JB, Joey, Joshua (Ongko's uncle), and one more.. I forgot who! ><"
Our offering song was hilarious! It was me, Adelene, K'Fina, and Leah who sang it. The CD track SKIPPED in the middle!!!! And it skipped 4 times!!!!! On the second skip, we were quite worried already and was hoping that Tim would just faded it out, but he didnt! So guess what, we clashed in the middle, and the funny thing is, everybody just sang differently but luckily IN TUNE!!! It was hilarious though, coz in the end Tim did faded it out and we just put licks at the end. And no one really notice that we made mistakes. Haha! Actually, some did, but they said it was not so obvious. GOOD THING THAT SONG DOES NOT GO ON FUNNY FUNNY CHORDS! Phewww..
'k! It was definitely one of the best Youth on Fire I've ever experienced. You go peeps! Can take a look at the pictures. This was the last time we had our Youth on Fire in Setiabudi building. On February, the next Youth on Fire will be held in the new building. MSA building, babyy!! =D
Before the Youth service - with Adelene, Justin, Fina, JP, Leah

bloody dietors!
Just uploaded several pictures. Check it out!
PKs - principals' kids @ Tony Roma's.
The girls and 2 boys ate Lamb Chop coz we're type "B".
The other boys, inc. my 16-year-old brother ate baby-backs aka PORK ribs! Their type is "O", but PORK isn't recommended for all blood types! Oh well! Who can resist Tony Roma's?! ><"
So yeah! We cracked up so hard, catching up on stuff, and we even talked about the future. It's soooo friggin' funny! Like, 10 years from now, we'll be having 4 times the size of this group. It'll include our husbands and children. So the total will be 72 (including our parents but excluding our in-laws). We're like, "Oh yaa! When we book a flight, we'll book the WHOLE plane for ourselves!" and "Oo!! We're not gonna let our kids play with his kids coz his kids don't shower!" We know who we're referring to right? Ehem..
It's a really great homecoming dinner! Haha! Oh btw, our parents are at the other table! Ehem.. We ain't capable of spending in Tony Roma's using our own pocket money. *sniffets*.
1. Natural pose! - We were talking about K'Fini goin' to PRIME. (Christmas miracle) =P
2. A rather serious-natural pose! - Tante Helen was asking us to work on a script for a sitcom about homeschooling. We write, we play, we'll be on TV! ^^

favored first few days back home.
Went back home to Indo 2 days ago and still adjusting myself to the pollution, traffic, and definitely the LIFESTYLE. This is really freaky. The first time I met the people in school, they were like talking about this "blood-type diet"!! And it was reinforced by my mom that everything that I eat MUST be beneficial to my body. Like, she had this book that has every food listed out according to the blood types. Mine is type B, and shockingly ... I can't eat CHICKEN!! *sniffets*
Gosh! And yeahh.. all the PKs (principals' kids), including my brothers are all on this diet program. And yaaa.. I went to Bakmi Gajah Mada on the first day in Indo, and my mom ordered me a plain noodle. I was like, "Mom! Plain noodle is for Stesha and Justin!" I mean, hey, c'mon! Plain noodle is like ... only the NOODLES! No chicken, no veggies! I was quite shocked coz they're all INTO this diet thing! Oh well, I guess I'm coping up with them.
Today, after 3 months of not being in MSI church, I finally got to sing GOSPEL songs!!! Woohoo!!! 3 services and it's quite tiring, but exciting, esp. with that "Not Forgotten" song ... (Egyptian dance). =P
And for dinner, the PKs gathered again at Tony Roma's. And SHUCKS .. No baby backs for us girls. No porks. Good thing they have a new menu: Lamb Chop!
Which is very beneficial for us blood type B people! All the O's kept on eating those baby backs, which was definitely NOT beneficial for any blood types! Haha! They're breaking the rules, for now. =P
We chatted, laughed, joked, being insane again for 3 hours in Tony Roma's, then we all went to Senayan City coz Dabenhams had a midnight sale. We checked out stuff there and the moment we stepped in the store, it's MADNESS! The queue was like a total DISASTER! Line up for an hour?! Gawd! So we decided to forget about shopping there, besides, the price ain't chipping down.
First thing first when I landed, I'm already scheduled to play on the keys for services and MSA devotions, and stuff like singing here and there, help for the Christmas banquet, and WOoHoo! Jam-packed events coming up! So happy! =D
Here's one interesting thing that happened to me today. One of my mom's old friends called me.
Her: Hey Angel! It's very hard to reach you ya.
Me: Ow! Really? Whassup, tante?
Her: Ya. Tante wants to ask you, coz tante now is helping Oom Steven "Warna" finding a pretty girl for his music video. And tante was thinking if you want to be in the video?
Me: Oh wow! Really? When is the shooting?
Her: It's actually tomorrow at 3 pm near Bogor.
Me: Oh! 3 pm? Yikes ... I have to play keys at PriMe service tomorrow at 6 pm.
Her: Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh..
Me: Yaaa! So sorry!!!! I really wish to do it, but ...
Her: Well, it's okay ... next time.. there's still a next time.
Me: Yaa! So sorry yaa, tante! But thank you.
I was really sad, you know.. I mean, it is a once in a lifetime thing! But, I already committed myself to help in PriMe service, playing the keys for their Christmas service. After that call, I consulted my parents. I cried, really. Coz ... of course, that's every girl's dream, to become a "someone". But I really strongly felt that God wants to test where my heart is. Just like the sermon today. Abraham was tested, but by FAITH he did God's will. God's testing Abraham's heart. And because he did what pleases God, he was blessed! So, I was in a position like that just now. But then, I told God that it's fine if I didn't get the chance to be in that music video, I know by serving Him tomorrow, that's where my heart is. It's better to serve than to be self-centered. I'm sure God'll not stop there. I feel that God has the best in store for me. He's gonna bless me more and His favor upon me will be just like my forefathers. Hey, life's about FAVOR! I'm more than blessed, I'm favored! I believe that this year, my Christmas miracle is going to be greater than what I've ever imagined, apart from having my Jesus born. It's going to be a life-changing experience. I love my cool God! ;)

who i am hates who i've been.
Yesterday was the last day of GESL execution. We went to a student care center in Bishan and we conduct the activities for them. For the first day, they all went to NIE and we conduct sports workshops and amazing race for them. It was really exhausting. I can feel my face turning red. We've became shrimps and crabs! ><"
57 children joined this 2-day camp. It was my first time experiencing a life with real Singaporean kids. PHEW! I'm telling ya, they're very different from what I've expected and what I've experienced. These kids are intelligent and not only that, they are really exposed to the world around them. Imagine, a 6-year-old boy saying the "S" word when something happens. AND ... he KNOWS what it means! I was quite shocked at first, but I thought over it and I found out that their school was joined with the secondary school. And moreover, Singapore is a small country, so basically, everyone gets influenced by one another.
The more I worked with these kids, the more I came to a realization that these kids need more than just academics, they need values. I was quite thankful that my previous school implanted very good values over my life, which is being family-oriented. I see how lives can truly change when there is parents' involvement. Like my previous principal always says, "You can put kids in school, but the most crucial change they can ever accomplish is when they're at home. Teachers only spend 9-5, but parents spend 24/7. Who do you think will make a greater impact?"
Well, I really don't know how to change the perspectives of parents here, since the condition of living is very different from back home. But I just acknowledged a revelation that really struck me deep. If God really wants me to serve here, then whatever His plan is, I'll do it. Even if I have to stay here for another 2 years after my studies, I'll go for it. It's not about me, it's all about others and expanding the Kingdom. Seriously, I just have to talk to my parents about this, coz even though I'm only here for several years, at least I'm making a difference. I don't wanna leave Singapore without making an impact. Geez.. it's a waste of time, and I believe that I'm called to be different. (Not dumb-different!!! -some of you know what I mean and I guess you're laughing now! =P).
But you know what, this is not me 2 years ago. This is a little of me a year ago and this is the REAL me now. Ever since I gave up my future to God and let Him do the moulding, I grew up trusting Him and believing that He has the best for me. Doesn't that make life easier? No worries, and all you do is just have faith and speaking the positives about your future? It is for me.
If you turn on that music up there, the title is "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been" by Relient K, it speaks to me personally. Before, I am a care-less person. My parents always scolded me for being irresponsible, and they always say that irresponsibility means you don't care about what others think, feel, and expect. I didn't heed that warning. I mean, yeahh.. I'm a "who cares" person before until I gave up my choice of entering university last year. I also don't know why I did that, but I guess God really struck me by not giving me any IDEA of what I'm gonna major in. So, I ended up teaching K3 (3 year olds) for a year in my school. Throughout the whole year, I was really blessed and I learnt new things, and because of that experience, I must gladly say that it brought me here ... to Singapore, in NIE.
Confession, baby ... My life is just full of miracles ever since I commit myself to serve as a kindergarten teacher last year. The journey of being Angelene Tjoandi now isn't the same like the Angelene Tjoandi few years ago. Which is why I put the song in ... Who I am hates who i've been! I see my past as lessons to be learnt and never to be repeated, and my now is a step to achieve a greater future. In brief, miracles happen when you believe that you're called to do something great. And truly, get down and humble yourself to serve and without you realizing it, you'll get popularity, fame, honor, and most importantly satisfaction that you've ever desired, and God'll see that and bless you a thousand fold.
A life to the fullest. A purposeful one.

life and love and why.
All of your hoping
Yeah, I just feel like writing about what I feel today (actually throughout the whole entire week, starting from my exam period).
Well, my sis said that I've been talking while I was sleeping. Hehe.. sorry. It sounds freaky but, I can't help it okay! I didn't even notice it myself. It's not tha I can control it! ><"
What's more is that when things gets tough, and the pressure is too hard ... that's when I'm actually tested, whether or not I can survive and come out victoriously, which in the end I did. I'm so glad that I have my parents to talk to. Being open and in the light makes me safer and feel that I'm actually at the right position, rather than covering up. I can feel that I've became mature in my thinking and also my actions. Yes, I really feel that family is everything. If you can't cooperate with your family, there's no way you can cooperate with your OWN family later. Which is why I think being family-oriented is one of my "future" preference. And definitely someone who has the same values as me.
Yeah, who said I've never been asked out? This is not the same like MSA, where everything seems clouded coz of my status. Not here. Attraction and admiration is a natural thing, that's how we can feel love. But, there's just this limitation on it. Not everyone gets what they want, or let's say WHO they want. Firstly, for me, it's not my time yet to think about it. And for me, it's once and for all. Even though I made mistakes in the past, but it's okay, at least I'm moving forward. (Hoobastank's Moving Forward) And by moving forward means taking steps that you've never taken before yet it's different from the steps you've taken before. Not looking back anymore.
So yes, for me, conviction is everything coz that's when your values and characters are tested. And from conviction, there comes attraction. I've heard so many people asking me whether I have a boyfriend and whether I club or not. Haha.. Maybe I dress-up and put on make-ups, but I dare myself to tell ya'll that I'm not, and will NEVER club. Yaa.. people say I miss out all the fun, but I've been asking myself WHY shouldn't I go, since I'm old enough to go. Let's not talk about restrictions here, coz hey, even with restrictions, I'm the type that go beyond restrictions, so let's not talk about my boundaries, nor my parents for a sec. But truthfully and honestly here ... clubbing ain't my type. The music's cheese and the way I spend my time .. phew, really.. I'd rather spend my time playing games on my pc. And I think I really wanna be different from normal girls. Ya know, guys don't like bimbos right? Who can only dress-up and chit-chat and talk craps. So, might as well build up something out of me to become a useful woman in the future. (ehem! I'm learning how to cook! ^^)
Boyfriend? Haha.. I didn't say I don't want boyfriend did I? But definitely not now. Now is the time to study! God has been so great to me. Yep. I've been blessed a thousand fold. My motto in life eversince I study in NIE is "Left with grace; come home with honors." Yeaah, entering NIE is a miracle for me. I got rejected at first, but then God's favor, man.. You just can't comprehend how He works. It's really beyond reason. So yeah, for my partner, I just leave my future to my Creator, since He knows my blueprint, so why should I bother trying to build it myself. Yes, someday my prince will come. But definitely, now, I won't be keeping quiet and do nothing either. I'm SOOOOO gonna make my life ALIVE. I'm gonna learn new skills, I'm gonna do extraordinary things before this guy comes, and I'm gonna touch nations. Dunno how, but I just believe on the impossible. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. ROCK!
I can't wait babyyy!!!!! ^^
